[04/26/10]East Meets West Exhibition at the Pleasanton Library conference room Look out for our innovative and cutting edge show at the conference room in the library from May 9th to mid June. This show is in celebration of Asian Pacific Heritage week in May. Come see the merger of artistic styles of Thai, Chinese, Indian with Western art. Students of various heritage participated in the show. Show opens May 12th and runs until June 19th. Come meet the artists at the reception and year end party on May 22nd 1:30 - 4:00 pm.
[06/05/10]Paint The Town at the Museum On Main St., Pleasanton
This is the second year in a row we have been invited to participate in Paint The Town plein air event. We will be taking our classroom to the outdoors to paint the landscape around the museum. Twenty KLA students will be participating in this event with Mrs. Lunati coaching them through the process. Come see us in action from 10 am - 1:30 pm.
[04/28/10] DPIE (Dublin Partners in Education) winners Mrs. Lunati attended an award ceremony in Dublin for DPIE on May 28th where three of her projects won 1st and 2nd places. Mrs. Lunati's was a guest artist for, DPIE, a fundraising program in the Dublin Unified school district. Mrs. Lunati donated her time, to conduct art workshops to approximately 240 students from grade 1st - 8th. this took place in a period of 3 weeks. Mrs. Lunati saw this as an opportunity to expose students to the art making process. Winning a competition was secondary to the goal. The art experience is always the most important thing for students. Background information on DPIE: The organization raises money for the school by having an art contest for these works and auctioning them to companies. Framers donated matting and frames to make the children's are work look nice. Apparently this event is a really big deal for Dublin, Mrs. Lunati was surprised to see the mayor there. The event was hosted in the Regal theatre in Dublin.

[12/15/09] Wild About Art ! Exhibition and artist reception
Kids Love Art studio is proud to present the first in house art show of students' artwork as well as the art director, Nalyne Lunati. The exhibition will include more than 30 paintings and works in pencil, charcoal and pastel. The show had about 100 people in attendance. There was a press release about our show in The Independent under the Arts and Entertainment section. The gallery experience wasextraordinary for the artists and their families. There will also be live painting demos by our talented students. Please come help us celebrate the accomplishment of KLA's talented and dedicated young artists. Wine, refreshments and appetizers will be served.
The artist reception and show is on December 15th from 5- 8 pm at Kids Love Art studio in Pleasanton.
[05/30/09] Paint the Town Plein Air event at the Museum on Main St. Pleasanton
20 Students from Kids Love Art participated in the Plein Air event. It was the first time for the Museum to allow artists under 15 years old to participate. The age ranges of our students was 5 - 15 years old. We set up our easel in front of the museum that morning and the young artists arrived in three different groups at different time slots to paint the landscape around the museum. The public was very impressed with the discipline and the skillful brush work of the young artist. There were many requests to purchase these gem of a painting in the silent auction. This maybe in the plans for next year's event. A painting by Jessica Huang, 15 yrs. old, sold in the live auction.
[02/01/09] Kids Love Art School of Fine Arts exhibition at the Fremont Library
Look at our show at the Fremont Public Library opening February 3rd. We have 24 feet of wall space to display artwork. This is a great learning experience for the students. The artist reception will be held at Sala Thai restaurant in Fremont on February 8th.

[01/18/09] Museum Trip to the De Young Museum
This field trip is for enrolled students and their family. Please purchase the ticket for the special exhibit on the museum website a.s.a.p.. The show sells out quickly. We will meet at noon for lunch in the restaurant at the De Young Museum in San Francico. The tour starts at 1:30 p.m. at the Asian American Modern Art exhibition on the 1st floor. Please be prompt.

Nalyne Lunati has been accepted in theArt in U.S. Embassy Program. This is a great honor. It is a program that places American art in U.S. Embassies all over the world.
[11/07/08] Come Home for Holidays Exhibit is now Open until January 11th, 2009
Kids Love Art School of Fine Arts is now exhibiting work at the Museum On Main Street in Pleasanton. The exhibition opened on November 7th and will last 2 months (closing on January 11th 2009). You can view the student artwork in our online gallery and you can read the associated artist statement.
[11/08] Announcement of Reflections Art Competition winner!
Two of Kids Love Art students won first place in the Reflections -WOW! Art Competition in the Pleasanton Unified School District winners. The winners are Taylor Kang, 1st grader from Vintage Hills Elementary and Meera Swamynathan, 1st grader from Walnut Grove Elementary. Congratulations to my hardworking students!
